This patient is a 31 year old female who presented with a history of blunt trauma to her nose. She had a fractured nose, deviated septum with difficulty breathing through her nose. She wanted to correct the breathing problems, straighten her nose and reshape her tip at the same time. When I examined her, she had a severely deviated septum that was likely secondary to her nasal fracture.

After discussing her options, looking at before and after pictures and assuring she has a good understanding of what can be achieved, we proceded with a closed rhinoplasty.

Her procedure went smoothly. After correcting her deviated septum, I removed the small dorsal bump and reduced her fracture with osteotomies. I reshaped her tip. Our goal was to keep her nose basically looking as if she never had the fracture. Once the swelling had settled, she felt she had her own nose back. she could breathe better through her nose and was happy with the appearance of her nose.
